Identity verification and tax forms

Before your first payout: a photo ID and selfie check, and a tax form. Each once.

  • Before your first payout we verify your identity with a photo ID and a selfie, through our verification provider, Didit. The check also screens against sanctions lists.
  • We also collect a tax form: a W-9 if you are a US person, or a W-8BEN if you are not (most Canadian residents).
  • Each is done once, not on every payout.
  • The document must show you are 18 or over. The verified name must match the name on your account, and the PayPal account you are paid to must be in your own name.
  • If you cannot complete something we are required to ask for, we refund the purchase in full rather than keep money for an account that can never pay out.
